A surprisingly large portion of the U.S. doesn’t have access to affordable, reliable high-speed Internet. The big cable and phone companies either aren’t interested in bringing it to these areas or they are offering it at ridiculous prices since they have a stranglehold on the area. Ubiquiti decided this needed to change.
The idea was to reach out to the many small, local Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs) throughout the country and band them together. Through a united front, they could take on the big cable and phone companies and bring everyone the Internet they deserve.
This required a unique solution. So we developed a fully integrated advertising campaign that took an aggressive national-to-grassroots approach. We started with national broadcast television and radio to provide the WISPs a big presence. Then we developed materials that they could personalize and use all up and down the line to allow them to run their own local campaigns.
Most amazingly, Ubiquiti offered all of this for free, and it’s changing the lives of the WISPs, as well as their local, formerly underserved customers.
