On October 1, Jimmy Smith, Mike Weisman, Jon Gothold and Ed Collins joined music legend Bootsy Collins on stage at Advertising Week XII pontificating on the fusion of funk and advertising.
At the age of 15, Bootsy began playing for Soul Brother #1, James Brown. In the 70s, he and George Clinton funked up the universe with Parliament-Funkadelic. In the 80s through the 21st century, he has lent his bass to an untold number of rap gods.
